Certificate of Standing - Paralegal

Paralegals may be required to provide a Certificate of Standing to a third party to confirm their entitlement to provide legal services for employment or other purposes. The cost for a Certificate of Standing is $50.00 (plus taxes). The cost of an additional copy is $10.00 (plus taxes). It may take up to 10 business days to process a Certificate of Standing. A Certificate of Standing will not be prepared and released to a third party without the subject licensee’s authorization. Certificate Update Letter - Paralegal

Paralegals may require a Certificate of Standing Update Letter to update a previously issued Certificate of Standing. The cost for a Certificate of Standing Update Letter is $25.00 (plus applicable taxes). Depending on the volume of requests being processed, it takes up to 10 business days to complete a Certificate of Standing Update Letter. Prior to ordering a Certificate of Standing Update Letter, paralegals should first confirm that the intended recipient will accept an update letter instead of a newly issued Certificate of Standing. The Law Society will only issue an update letter if you ordered a Certificate of Standing within the past 90 days. If you have any questions please contact Membership Services at records@lso.ca.

Status Letter - Paralegal

A Status Letter may be ordered by a paralegal or by third parties. The cost for a Status Letter is $25.00 (plus taxes). The cost of an additional copy is $5.00 (plus taxes).
